I think that going through any bad situation has a big impact on a persons life but its only after you've been through a bad situation and you've come out the other end of it, regardless of how long it takes you to do, can you really have a different perspective on life and have a real appreciation for your life, you learn to love yourself and others and a have deeper understanding of what true happiness is.

So i would say the answer to your question is>> happiness and love (for yourself):))

I would have to say the the emotion that has the most profound effect on a body physically would be either rage or joy. One doing damage to cells and the other enhancing rejuvination and well being.

Depends on which effect you believe is more "Profound." Personally, I see far more depth in joy than rage but some people disagree believe it or not?

Emotions cause a person to go from feeling OK to the extreme's, either really down, depressed, or grief ridden to being really happy, joyous, excited, etc.

I would say that the emtions that take longer to deal with are sadness, grief, and depression.

The emotions that are best and have a positive impact on your stability are happiness, excitement, and acheivement.

"Fear" - It is the most profound because its programmed within our genes and it is linked to our survival. It has always been there. Its a primal instinct before we had any other instincts - i.e. if our ancestors thousands of years ago didn't have this fear instinct they would have jumped off a cliff or walk right into danger and to their deaths and we wouldnt all be here today.

Grieving the loss of a loved one....there is no emotion that can compare to how you feel when someone you truly care about has passed away. The feeling of the loss sometimes is just unbearable and hard to cope with. I would never wish it upon anyone.

Depends on the individual and his current state of mind and circumstances, though I believe the big two drivers are fear and anger.
Disgust, interestingly, ranks pretty high.
Love makes you completely unstable because of the effect of all the chemicals that get released by the brain.
