Dry skin needs more than cream, it's need a hell-lot-a-care, depending which part of your body have dry skin. Face, arms, legs or the rest.
Here's my simple and easy to follow steps:
1- Cleanse-
2- Exfoliate-
3- Moisturise-
4- Protect-
5- Enjoy!

Hi, I can recommend a product I use. I have very dry skin from a medical condition and I have finally found something that works. It is from a company called Arbonne and it is their Body Serum and Lotion. You can check it out in their online catalog at http://www.wonderful.myarbonne.com I only have to put it on once a day instead of all day long. It totally has healed my skin. Good luck to you.

Carave` is excellent and sold in drug stores. Aquaphor is good for dry, itchy skin. Cetaphil is also great and has an excellent, non-drying cleanser. Cheap and simple, but not on your face moisture is hypoallergenic baby oil you put on after bath/showe while still wet to seal in moisture and help keep it in. Again, not on face, vaseline is probably the best and the main ingredient in most really good body moisturizers. For face, Dove, cetaphit, Neutrogena all make excellent, affordable moisturizers. For you face, use a moisturizer with sunscreen that's non-comedogenic (won't clog pores). Those are what we advise for our patients. They work and are affordable.

The best cream I have found is Eucerine. I have extremely dry skin on my hands and face and it is the only one that works and was recommended by my Doc.

Go for any of the body butters, they are thicker and last longer - slather it on as soon as you dry off from the shower. Get some of the healthy oils in your diet too - dip your bread in Olive oil instead of butter.

Before you sleep, wash your face and put on a thin layer of vaseline. When you wake up in the morning, wash the vaseline off and use a water-based cream on your face. Make sure you get something with sunscreen/sunblock in it.

Are you talking about dry skin on your face? Or your body? If it's your face, I use Clinique's Moisturizer. It works GREAT.
