What I think this is saying is that your mom is 45 and she is dating a 19 year old kid, right? And you wonder how you can stop this. You could do her a really dirty trick -- Put a note where the guy will find it and you will never be suspected, written by a friend (so it isn't in your handwriting that she has AIDS. He won't know where it came from, and she won't be able to blame you. However, she IS happy, or she wouldn't be fooling around with a kid.

If you don't think this boy is sincere about your Mom then I would set out to catch him being unfaithful to your Mom and then set it up where she finds the proof. I don't think he is sincere either and is taking ma for a ride. Be careful and don't get caught trying to do this. On the other hand Mom is a grown woman and she is probably aware of this boy's intentions. Good luck.

And you -her child is how old? POINT THAT ONE OUT TO HER!
Hopefully she will see that its not acceptable to date young people under 21, anyone under 30 is not OKAY for her to date, sleep with or any type of relationship outside of a parental one.
Old is not the question here! Appropriate behavior comes with maturity and being a role model for her daughter is the "higher" good!
Best wishes- Just tell her the truth. Mom, I want you to be happy and with that said, " Please date grown men over 30" It's just too upsetting to me for you to date guys that could be my boyfriend. Let's go find a better guy for you.

at 45 I feel its time to wake up and smell the coffee. Your mom isn't old but dating a child of 19 will only cause her heartache in the future. When he uses her enough he will move on. I'm sure it is an ego trip for your mom to know that a much younger man is interested in her, but I can't see it lasting. You could tell her how you feel but be prepared for her to be in denial over this issue untill she wakes up and sees the truth.

I'm 45 and wouldn't want a 19 year old they don't know how to use what they have and I'm not a teacher............But if shes happy that is all that counts let her have fun. So she spends her money its hers......I bet there was or still is a time she couldn't tell you who to see or what to do ..... Your a caring child which is rare but you cant do anything but make her angry

Stay out of it. Your mother is fooling herself if she thinks this thing with a 19 year old will ever amount to anything real, but it's her life. If you try to interfere, all you'll get from her is hostility. Be supportive without being dishonest. It sounds like a bad Maury Povich show, but then you probably already know that.

Well you ask how old id too old and that is definatly tooooooo old like by soooooo much. Dont kno what you should do, but I personaly think it wont last. if she owns her own house car money everything she will have hig standards and with eventuly get that this boy is going to do nothing for her.

So what your saying is that a 45 yr old guy dating a 19 yr old girl is ok but a woman who does it, its all wrong? Well you may not approve, however I'm pretty sure your mom realizes it won't go anywhere but just wants to have fun, let her have it and be as supportive as you can, I know that maybe hard but he maybe filling something she has been missing. I'm also guessing she is using him as much as he is using her. :)

just like teenagers, your mom's not listening to a legitimate concern. hopefully it's just a fling for her, even though there is 30 years age difference. men do it too. it's called a midlife crisis.let it alone unless he's abusive or she desides she's in love w/ him. then have an adult conversation about your concerns and why you feel this way. by the way, a lot of women go through this faze... it's called being a cougar.

He probably is using her for a free ride and maybe some sexual experience in the bedroom. She needs to tell him to get lost. He will probably end up treating her badly as well. He is too young to know how to properly treat a lady with respect. Your mother probably cares for him but she needs to do what is best for both of you. Since you are her child she needs to consider your feelings. You are more important. Sit down and have a talk with her. She cannot choose him over you if she loves you. Your hapiness needs to be considered.
