No matter how much I stand up for formula using mothers to have support and respect on this board, and the right to get good advice without being made to feel less than a mother, the breat militia always has to be a bunch of organized idiots and be base and rude.
Asker: Most babies love all types of formula. Ask your pediatrician about what types would be best suited for your baby and maybe he can give you several samples. Go from there on the one baby enjoys best. Good luck, and sorry you had to encouter the lacto bitches of Y!A, among true advice.

good start supreme with dha + ara is hands down the best imo. i've done many "tests" with samples. good start is the most like breast milk...the way it looks, and mixes...there are next to no bubbles after mixing (just like breastmilk--although bm has NO bubbles), which mean less bubbles in baby's belly. they have "comfort protiens".
good start also has soy if needed. if your baby has no formula/milk sensitivities, i recommend good start to everyone, and if after that recommendation they still have doubts---i show them the test comparison, and then they are sold too.
if your baby does have formula sensitivity issues, i suggest anything by similac.
please disregard all the pro breastfeeding comments. the world knows breastfeeding is best, however that wasn't the question!!! not everybody can or for that matter wants to, not that it's ANYBODY else's business. it's your baby and you need to decide what is best for you and yours.
good luck!!

Your pediatrician will recommend the best formula for your baby. Sometimes babies can't tolerate different types of formula.

A safe formula if your baby is colicky or allergic is Nuetragena. Better than formula is to call your High School's 4H department and find yourself a good clean goat..one that doesn't eat trash. Your baby will thrive on goat milk and it's usually cheaper than formula!

Dont knock the formula, people..
I wasnt able to breast feed either of my sons. I would have loved to. I tried.. i cried .. they cried. they had to be fed. Yes its free and its the best way to go but sometimes you cant do it for physical reasons.
Go with a formula that doesnt cause distress with your child.
Look for signs of milk allergies and even soy allergies.
alot of switching isnt good for them, either.

Depends on the baby...but you have the best formula and the only 100% complete nutritional substance in your breasts, and it's free!!!!!! also it's 10 X better for the baby and gives them your immunities and antibodies to keep them from getting sick as easily!! Good Luck and God bless!! :)

Breast milk and if you are not able to do that, Carnation Good Start is great. It does not stink like the others. My son never had a problem with going poo poo on that either. Or, with colic.
