I think you just got scammed. First off, if you have never had any prior email exchanges with her, ask yourself, why did she pick you to send an email to,, out of this vast world of internet users?
Email accounts don't usually disappear once they are established.
It's likely that because you have replied that there might have been some coding into the email to which a trojan or spyware could exist. You could possibly also have just confirmed that you have a working email account, to which your email address can be placed into a database for further spam solicition.
I would advise you to clear your URL caches under Internet History, delete all history and files, delete cookies, and run your spyware, and virus program if you have it. Thoroughtly maintain your PC and clean it.
The fact that you showed any concern is likely another tactic, however in poor taste, that people use to confirm email accounts, and hack our emails. Good luck to you.

The rule of thumb is if someone contacts you that you don't know, it is most likely a scam or spam. If you try to reply and it comes back as undeliverable, there's no doubt it's a fake.

It is a scam. By clicking on the link you could have downloaded an infection on your computer. The best senario is that it is only a phishing scam by spammers for you to confirm your email address by clicking on the link. They will now start send you much more spam.

If you suspect its a scam, copy and paste parts of it into a search engine.
There are lots of sites that list all the scam emails, so you might come up with a match.

Most likely it's a scam if you cant reply to the address. Hopefully that is all it was. If someone was in trouble, I'm sure they didn't have time to delete their e-mail address anyways.

I would say it was a scam.
I had the same thing done to me about 3 moths ago now.
Just delete and discard it.
I am a female and I had a male do this to me.
I told my husband and he just said it was a scam.
So don't worry about it.
How did she get your address? did you give it to her?
Of all the people in the world why did she pick you?
