I haven't been here long but long enough to notice that a lot of questions are not really questions. They ask their questions in a way that shows they are trying to get people to agree with them. This is on both sides.

I think it has to do with the divisions in the country.
I am old enough to remember when the democrat were running both houses...and Republicans for the most part cooperated with them.
But when the republicans were able to wrest control away from the Democrat...they did not reciprocate...and hence we have today the "bitter divisions"
Tis a pity.

The real reason Yahoo created the Question/Answer board is to help the NSA catch more terrorists. It has very little to do with providing a service to the public in which an "answer" to any question can be provided. They are taking the information and handing it over to the NSA for analysis before there will be a McCarthyist-like sweep in the U.S.A. and persecution of anyone who could in any remote way be a supporter of terrorism. If you want "proof" of what I'm saying forget it because you'll never get Yahoo or the NSA to divulge anything.

Yes, I know that all sounds paranoid to most Americans but most Americans do not have a clue about the gravity of circumstances in America and how democracy has become a Machiavellian oligarchy.

Say Hi to the NSA for me!

I started out genuinely trying to learn, but pretty quickly found myself on the defense. I think the 'questions' asked here are, for the most part, deliberately divisive. Accusatory, aggressive posts regularly get anywhere from 10-30 responses; the askers know how to generate the conflict they crave.

The average person on this "forum" has the mentality, vocabulary, and lack of critical thinking skills of a typical suburban teenager.

Don't expect much from this board and you won't be disappointed. And especially don't expect much if you ask a serious, thoughtful question. Only occasionally will you receive even a single intelligent answer to such a question.

I agree , I think people just like to get everyone all bent out of shape, like I do sometimes. I have noticed on both sides there are those which refuse for a good ole debate of put facts and logic, but they throw some of the dumbest malarchy out there trying to stir the pot.

Yes I had the same realization that people go on here to state their opinion only. Try the News & Events section or Government.

To MYPORTALNBLUE:
Yeah, the republicans really cooperated with the Dems when Clinton was in office. The short time they were in control.

Thing is, neither party will cooperate with the other. plain and simple.
