It was the Interpid Fox on Wardour Street. However, it closed recently cause the new owners want to develop the sight.

There are alot of good pubs. You can try the Duke of York mu local on Harrowby Street W1. Just off Edgware Road near Marble Arch. Alternatively try http://www.londonvacationguide.com for further resourse.

Comptons Bar in Soho has some of the friendliest folk around. They really go out of their way to make sure you have a good time!

just pull out a wad of cash -- they are all friendly and fairly safe in central london or the west end. Friendly ? English people are not friendly so like I said - buy them a round or show the dollar and you will get good service from the management and hired help
