thanks for listening to me! LMAO!

Yes, I totally agree!! Screw being politically correct! I have been ticked about this, too for such a long time. Sadly, there is nothing we can do about it. It stems from the Cold War and how Russians were criticising....and that is all I am going to say. My History 201 teacher rocks!!!

Laws to protect vulnerable or poorly represented people are brought in with good intentions - whether its affirmative action, discrimination laws, libel laws or whatever, and I fully support the intention behind these contuing intiiatives.

Lawyers like to cover every angle, so these get more and more complex and difficult to understand, and we all have to deal with them at work every day - so that even if you don't mean to say or do something bad, it's hard to say anything that doesnt seem to violate some guidance. People feel less and less able to communicate what they feel, and when others hear something that seems slightly wrong, they feel obliged to get upset by it because they wouldn;t say it. You take this all this stuff around with you and talking - well it just gets more and more difficult.

It's a shame because our freedom to express ourselves is gradually becoming eroded.

My code is simple - dont say or do anything that you would be uncomfortable with others saying or doing about you. If you do have views that would not be generally accepted, then make sure that you express them only amongst others who think the way you do, or with whom you want to have a debate. You should be willing to argue for what you believe but dont say stuff for effect. Say it because you mean it and take the consequences.

Yes but I am far more bothered by the fact that the tard in office has decided that we the people may not speak out against his delusional actions against the rest of the world. Don't get me wrong I don't care if they hate us I just can't stand the thought of them hating us because of HIM. when he gets out of office his Oil will still be there but he will leave the country in ruins. Whoever gets it next I feel sorry for because there is NO WAY for it to be fixed in 4 years. They will suffer the blame for what Capt. Stupid has done. I never wanted to believe that the American people were such sheep but way to prove me wrong. Since he has been in office my kids have learned every dirty word in the book because every time I see him on TV and he opens his mouth( or sits quietly for 7 min to hear what happened to the duck while the country is under attack) I start yelling every dirty thing I've ever heard. wow your question really set me off. We are no longer in a democratic society but more like a dictatorship. Somebody in Congress needs to get some balls and address the president as Mien Fuhrer. He is such a shfhkfrhbjbvhfhnvkfhk see even thinking about him makes me cuss.

Since I'm not running for office nor being called upon to address large, diverse groups, I don't give a hoot in hell about what's politically correct. I'm secure in knowing that I mean no one any harm or slight, and if there are those who chose to be offended by what I have to say or how I refer to individual or groups, they can jolly well kiss my a s s.

I know what you mean, I hate having to look around and make sure nobody around me might be offended. It makes it hard to have really good discussions in my classes when everyone is walking on eggshells to not offend people.

I guess the positive side is the fact that we are working on being more accepting of people by making sure that things don't offend cultures other than our own.

I know what youre talking about. It seems to be getting worse everyday. We better get smart and come together. We are capable of destroying ourselves, with hate.

It bugs me a litle bit that everyone seems to think their opinion is right without considering what anyone else has to say.

Everyone is so sensative...I still can't understand why it is ok for someone of ones own ethnic group can call you one thing and if I say it I am racist. I thought we were all created equal.
