As we understand and realise that every single thing in the all universe is inter-linked, then we could, eventually, think that our own happyness is related and linked to other's happyness.
In that way we could wonder why, sometimes, we are not happy !
Helping others to be happy should bring us happyness, there's so much benefit related to other's happyness. So just do it !

I believe that you should help anyone you can, but don't put yourself out. Think about it...Do you really want to push your car for 2 miles by yourself when you run out of gas, because nobody would stop to help you push? I don't think so. I have had to do it before, and I hated it. I don't care how macho you may be, pushing a car over a mile by yourself, (with all the bumps in the road and slants and everything), SUCKS. When that happened to me, (I had a lot of time to think, pushing the car that far and all), I couldn't figure out why nobody would help me out. I came to the realization that it was the universe's way of telling me that I need to be more caring and try to help people when I can. Who knows if the theory is crap or not? I know that it is true. It works. The universe will take care of everything, including giving people what they deserve. It's a very powerful thing....this...Kharma

I do believe in helping others, depending on the situation. I only help those who help themselves. It is okay to help people, but once you start offering a helping hand, they will take advantage of you. That is how I count my blessings as well. It does feel good to help somebody, but the line has to be drawn somewhere.

I believe that if I help myself I'll be saving doctors a lot of time, therefor I'd be helping patients.
And by being company for someone I help their social status (possibly) and mine, and we keep each other company. Making them happier, spreading that happiness to others.
And by shouting at my brother for coming into my room, I'm a) Discilining him, b) Giving him a sense of privicy. So he won't venture into anyones room, making the world a nicer place.

Yes I do.

When you live for others, your life becomes meaningful. I dont want to just live for myself.

Of course, sometimes we can only help to a certain extend. For some stituations, outsiders are not encouraged to interfere. Very much a case by case basis.

I believe that you should help others because you never know when you might be in a situation where you need help.

i believe life is for living to the best of you ablility without hurting others ... i do often help many people, freinds, family but that is not my goal in life ...just something that is within my realm to help if i can ..and not for gain ... just because its needed and i have the time to give it ..unless its my children and they will get everything i have to help them ...
