When people get older, they naturally feel lonely and need more support and love from family and friends, so go and have little chat with your grandma, get to know her more..I guess spending a little time with her each day will make you feel better that you're not ignoring her and she will be more happy and comfortable with you. wish you luck!

I know where you are coming from. I neglect my grandmothers too... Your situation is a little different since you live with her.
If you feel bad, why not make time to spend with her, even a half hour a day- talking, having a meal whatever... It would mean a lot to your grandma, and you wouldn't feel so bad.

too be honest i do the same thing, and it is wrong. What i was thinking of doing is just keep her company for a while im not saying 4 hours but like an dhour at least conversate with her talk to her about your day communicate with her, make her feel that you really love her and enjoy her company, thats all you dont have to buy her gifts or anything like that just have a conversation with her.

I'm assuming you're a kid. That's why you want to stay shut up in your room all day than hang out with her. We all did it. When you get older you'll mature & realize how nice it is to just sit, relax, and bullsh*t with your grandparents. I love the few times a year I get to do that.

Your time with your grandparents is limited.... knowing you live with grandma sounds like she has the mother roll for you... try to get out of your room and socialize with her.... or find something in common that you can do with her.

Spend as MUCH time with her as you CAN. Because before you know it, she will not be there and you will regret it, as I did. I moved to FL and mine lived in NJ, I was gone for 3 years. I came back and she passed away a year later. I regret ALL the time I was not there for her! She was my #1!

Be thankful you still have grandparents alive. Sadly, mine have all passed on. Spend time with them while you have them in your life. Try to get to know her. If she's able, get involved in some activities with her. Maybe you can set up a video camera and record her as she tells stories about her life. Just get involved in her life, she'll appreciate it.

You need to spend time with your grandmother. I love both of my grandmothers but only see more than the other b/c of the distance. I hate that I can't spend equal time with both. Even if you just watch tv with her. She will really appreciate it.

You know the problem, you know the solution. Do something about it. Your grandma won't be there forever. Spend time with her, both of you will benefit from it.

i love my grandparents so much, really. i understand what you mean though, it could be too much to live with my grandma but think about it, she only has so many years left. wouldn't you want her to treasure her remaining years, enjoying every moment with her kids and grandkids? it's the least you could do for her. =)
