I import videos to itunes but im aware that I have to convert them, so i click the convert for ipod buttons however, the video plays on the ipod now but there is no sound but there is sound before i convert the videos!! i ned help as I would like to watch videos on my ipod!! please help!!!!

Depends on which file format the original video was in. I think .avi files are a bit dodgy on the converting front generally. Maybe try converting to the appropriate format from another application, for example QuickTime - not iTunes - and seeing then if there is sound when you open it in QuickTime on your computer. If there is, drag it into iTunes and all should work just fine.
