How do you find Lebanon, is it a nice place ? (before the war)
Are the people nice ? (do they treat everybody nicely ? especially the Indians, Filipinos, Africans and other nationalities other than European)
Is the standard of life good compared to where you come from ? (before the war that is)

Lebanon is a very place to live,
depending on your salary and how you are living.
If you're rich, it's the greatest country on Earth.
The people are usually nice, they treat Europeans, Americans, Canadians, Australians very nicely.
As for people who are from Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Philipines, ...
usually these people work in cleaning houses
and they live in the house that they clean and help
it's not a good life, but usually most of them stay for many years because it's much better than their country
and they send money to their families and parents in their home countries.
Let me tell you, sometimes the Lebanese are victims of these workers who might steal jewelry from houses,
and sometimes these workers are the victims as Unfortunately they are forced to work long long hours with no vacations.
So if you're thinking of coming here to work like this, make friends of nationals from your home country so they help you.

Yes,definitely it is a nice place to stay. The people are warm, charming, friendly,trustworthy, not having the common prejudices against any nationality in particular ( you asked about Indians,Filipinos etc). The standart of life is good and the prices are not too high ( or just high), especially if you are European.I would recommend to anyone ( despite I am not Lebanese) to visit at least Lebanon, a place where you can relax, even after the war. It is an amazing place full of history and natural beauty. The crossroad between east and west for thousands of years. It has the oldest city in the world with an occupancy of 9,000 years-Byblos. Lebanon has a very high standard of living war or no war.
I have found the people very friendly,but then I'm Greek. I love the place.

in lebanon people live in an atmosphere where every body is equal and people in lebanon have no problem with no one off course like any other place there is bad people but usually its a lebanese nature to be generous and kind believe me you will never find people like in lebanon and when you go there and enter a house you will feel like you are at home because the people will treat you like a member of the family.

trust me im a 100% lebanese and i go every summer i was even their during the war it is a great place to be you forget your problems and its like your in heaven i mean during the day relax go out and at night go to downtown beirut they have a lot of shopping and resturants and many nightclubs i encourage everyone to go
