I think the government does allot that we do not have a clue about. It does things like set up regimes, interfere with politics of other countries by forcing them to choose certain people and punishes those countries whose leaders it does not like. It does lots of underhanded things pertaining to foreign policy. Most of these things we do not have any knowledge of and when we do find out it is through that country's anger. Many Americans think that middle eastern countries hate USA because they are jealous since that is being advertised by the government officials and even celebrities like Oprah! Basically the answer is no we have very little say so in the foreign policy but in the past we have had presidents who have been more intelligent, educated and humanitarian than the present regime and that always helps in good foreign policy!

No, we don't.
Foreign affairs and policies are handled completely by the Federal government which means that only politicians at that level participate in such.
We have no say-so and unfortunately, yes the only way you can have any affect on a foreign policy you don't agree with is to vote the politicians out of office that you don't agree with on the subject.

You can search for lobbyists who deal with the issues and support the lobby group who agrees with your stance. It may or may not make a difference. But other than elections, that is the only way I know to influence policy.

Of course we have a say. That was proven during the Vietnam War. President Nixon actually considered nuking the viet cong at one point, but the shouting in the streets convinced him that would be a bad idea.

I don't think you understand. The people that you elect are your Representatives, they go to make the decisions that you want to have and if they don't then you must change your Representatives, this is democracy and that is exactly what the people of Connecticut done with Joe Lieberman. The people of Connecticut have spoken and that is the way it works. This includes foreign.
