Hey, thanks for tipping me off to this new one, I wasn't aware it was coming out. I am a big Rod fan. I listened to the sample tracks and of course he did them well, but honestly, I don't see the point of this project. Rod has always had at least two covers on every album. He does them very well...a whole album though? And then the Great American Songbook collections...again they were good and the idea was unique...the first time.
WHAT I WANT (ROD ARE YOU LISTENING????) is for old Rod to get his butt back into seclusion and NOT come out until he has W-R-I-T-T-E-N something N-E-W from his own heart.
We haven't heard anything from Rod himself since Human. I thought that album SUCKED but I would have appreciated it more if I knew it was the last original material we were gonna get.
