Thanks for asking that question I found the answers extremely interesting as I have a daughter who is on meth.
Good on you, I know how difficult it must have been.
You deserve a medal. Then again your reward is being a healthy human being and not having to rely on drugs.

Congratulation first of all. I know its hard for my husband is on meth still and its hard but they teach you once an addict always so just be careful on what you do I'm sure you have a lot of people that are very proud of you just keep up the good work and also maybe go back to that Clinc that you were getting the meth from and ask the councilor all the questions you need to

From what I have heard, it all depends on the individual, their state of mind, their health, reisitance to infections, etc. I think you will definitley feel better in yourself, although you have probably noticed that in the year you have been clean. As you were 'long term', it is likely that you may not be 100% back to normal, but you will probably notice significant differences and feeling better than when you were using. Congrats for going clean as well!!

Hope this helps!

PS am not a homeopathist or whatever it is, so i can't recommend any supplements to you. :(

long term meth use usually affects your brain and teeth as well as personality ( i believe) id say for energy levels to naturally go up try some pasta or rice if youre afraid of gaining a lot of weight. i used for six years and im clean for 3 yrs now. i dont think you ever recover totally to your normal self before using; thats just me tho. it also is differnet if u snorted, smoked or shot it. see what im sayin? my old man still has marks from where he shot meth, i dont think those will ever go away.. but yeay eat lots your body need food to burn for energy!

first off, congratulations on quiting! as for any damage to your teeth.. you'll have to have some work done to fix that.. as for your energy.. meth does so much damage that it will take (depending on how long you were on it) a good while to get up to a normal energy level.. but don't try to compare it to how you felt while on meth.. that wasn't a natural energy level.. you shouldn't ever feel like that naturally.. take vitamins, drink lots of water, work out.. drink green tea in the morning and use ginseng and ginko to help naturally boost your energy.

Try taking Calcium and Magnesium, or a Cal-Mag combination. And, by the way, you never recover. Addiction is addiction - you can be in recovery, but your never lose your addictive propensity.
