Don't be in such a hurry to have babies. You've got to find the right guy first. I mean a guy who you're gonna love for life. My wife evidently felt under pressure when she first got married, and got stuck with a real jerk who thought that the world revolved around him. She got it right the second time around (she found me), but meantime she had a couple of kids, which means the courts got involved re visitation etc. He's still a jerk, and he's still in our lives.
It's nice to fantasize about the lovely family you'll have, but you'll have to support them financially too (that is to say between you and your husband). Take some time to define yourself (further education, etc) before you are consumed by being a mother.
As for the names - if you still don't know what to call a child when he/she is almost due, go for a name like Elizabeth: you can still take your pick years later of calling her Liz, Libby, Eliza, Betty... (or for a boy try Robert: Robbie, Bob, Bert, Bertie...)
Or else you might want to go the other way and choose a name that can't be so abused. You'll change your mind a million times, anyway.
Oh, and don't be too harsh on folks that are finding reasons why not to name a child a given name: you can probably always find a reason why not, but as Mom, you get to pick the one that fits best.

Well, let's see,
Devlin for a boy OK
Jo for a boy NOT OK
Jay for a boy OK
Gabreiral for a boy NOT OK Gabriel is much better
Eiligh for a boy NOT OK Eli is much better
Enveah for a boy - Not OK because it sounds like a skin moisturizer
Kizzy for a girl DEFINITELY NOT OKAY because she sounds like a ROOTS REJECT
Liza for a girl is Pretty
Eliz for a girl is NOT OK Liz is OK but only short for...
Elizabeth for a girl which is WAY OK.
Hey, How about Kayley Rose or Jasmine Rose
Honey? Get yourself a baby name book and it explains what you need to watch out for when naming a baby. Also, wait until you get your sonogram and you are going to do that as soon as possible so you know what names you need to work out. It will also tell you the meaning of the names.
Good luck and congratulations.

I'm sure you'll change your mind when you actually have the kids. I wanted to name my children Karma Lucille and Electric Nirvana when I was in high school. LOL!
Personally, I don't like any but Elizabeth. I prefer "normal" names then out there ones.
Like I said--you have a while to figure this stuff out!
For you family--don't worry what they think! You don't even have the child yet.

Never tell your family or friends the names you pick for your children, before the are born. You will get nothing but twenty kinds of critisism and suggestions. Wait until after the baby is born to announce the names and then everyone will tell you how wonderful they are.

My middle name is Elizabeth, so of course I like that name. Also I am partial to Bible names, Gabriel , Eiligh, etc. Good choices. Both of my sons have Bible names. Nathan and Noah. If I had a girl I would name her Noel.

Those names are definetly unique and before I got preggers I had names picked out like that too, but now that I am pregnant and having twins, I might add, I think about the fact that they will get their names mispronounced alot if I give them funky names.I mean my name is Alyssa and its took 19 yrs. for eveyone in my family to learn that one!!!
