Why do people abuse staff when the train service is bad, when all they are trying to do is help you get to your destination. Most delays are caused by equipment failing or customers, something these staff members are not responsible for.

Some of the general public are rude to anyone who deals with them on a daily basis.

I worked in retail for years and they way you are spoken to by customers is appalling, even when you become a store manager your still treated by some as a servant.

Everyone complains about staff attitudes, but if you heard what people say to you then there would be a lot more sympathy. You can be swore at, physically attacked, threatened with bottles, knives, baseball bats, i've had all this.

I treat everyone with respect, if things are not right you can shout all you want but it's probably not at the person who made the mistake.

I don't think people take it out on you personally it is just frustration at the general poor service the underground has.

I am a regular user of the Northern Line and am sick to the teeth of the constant signal failures, broken trains etc. Travelling on the underground is expensive and I expect a good service for my hard-earned cash.

Personally, I do not take it out on any of the staff as I agree it is not their fault and have instead reverted to making numerous letters of complaint to TFL and obtaining refunds on my journey.

It is a pain but the only way these incompetent managers are going to do their jobs is to hit them where it hurts in the pocket.

Attitude breeds attitude. If the customer service employees smile with the bad news then they will deflect a lot of the rudeness coming their way but I have a feeling that they usually get to be rude first

I think people find it easier to be negative than to be positive, which is a bit sad really! That said, when there's a delay on a line I guess people just want someone to lash out at and they're the front line representatives of the company! No excuse though!
