a bbq'n alien.

some area 54 stuff.. but i'll be outside with the lights and giant inflatable pumpkin doing some bar b que ing......

while the kids who knock on the door have to deal with my drunk wife who will be passing out candy, blinky rave toys and wands and a copy of "wizard of oz" (which is great for halloween AND xmas)

:D

(and if they already have a copy they can give theirs to a friend and claim they got it for them :D )

we'll have alot of classic candy too! the old timey stuff like wax bottles, neopolitian coconut chews... wax lips, those plastic fruits with the sweet sugar in them.. pixy stix... toffifay, fruit cheweys by brachs.... ufo candy, bottle caps... so on.

and the new stuff.. the blinky lollies and fear factor and the good old stand by's like hersheys...

it'll be fun...

come on by!

we have a huge cellar of fine wines!

:D

and it's not childish.. it's only childish if you killed those endorphins off that make you enjoy the child in you that can still have a good time.

It's only childish to those who have no spirit! I have 75 year old neighbors that dress up! I dress up every year. This year I am having an adults only party (kids stay home!) and I am dressing up in a nice outfit I got at the Renaissance faire!

I am 30ish....and every year my husband & I have gone out with our Daughter. This year she is 12 and she feels too big to do the trick or treat thing, but we have decided to either be (Thing 1, 2 & 3) or Just do a haunted house theme at home & have the kids do a walkthru and get candy as they leave.

Several things--
A zombie
A queen
An executioner
A funky fairy
and my own special secret one.

Maybe even more.

I go to several events every Halloween month and sometimes do quick-changes for fun all Halloween night so every group of Trick-or-Treaters gets a different experience. My niece loves my costumes, too. I have a whole chest of drawers full of them.

I am going to be Little Bo Peep for my party, a clown for work and a vampire when I hand out candy.

Our family usually dresses in a theme. Last year my toddler was a cowgirl (complete with real leather vest, baby cowboy boots, and red bandanna - she loved it!) - Dad wore his vest and boots and hat, and I wore a full squaredance skirt and MY leather vest and boots...

This year Kitkat wants to be Tigger (from Winnie the Pooh), and she has her costume already. However, I don't think I can convince my husband to be Pooh or Eeyore, so we might have problems doing a 'theme' this year!

Unfortunately, we don't celebrate Halloween here in my country, but if we did, I would dress up as a beautiful princess or a bride.

Pirate, as usual. I ALWAYS dress up for Halloween. I don't care how old I get, I always will.
