My husband had a vasectomy in December. He was in a motorcycle accident in Jan. and had a groin injury. What are the chances that he messed something up and now I can get pregnant? I have had 5 pregnancies and know what it feels like to be pregnant. I am feeling that now but don't want to try and confirm anything because I am so worried. Also, I have recently had a period. It doesn't make sense. What do you think?

i do not believe the accident reversed the procedure however it sounds like these symptoms are more in your head because you are worried . have it checked out though a cyst can and will produce the signs of pregnancy which is more serious than an unwanted pregnancy hormonal imbalance will also produce the same results. either way a doc attention is needed i wish you the best of luck. this comes from someone who has had both and there was no way i could have been pregnant i had had a hysterectomy. see the doc do not be nervous you will be fine.

I would get tested first, THEN take him to the doctor if I was. It's unlikely that your husbands vasectomy was reversed during the accident. Hoever I've heard of women getting pregnant by their husbands after the vasectomy. They're not 100%. If you are pregnant, I doubt the motorcycle accident had anything to do with it.

A friend of ours had a vasectomy and the little brochure he took home said it IS possible for it to grow back together on its own. The printers of the brochure even put in a thing saying that if your wife/sig other gets pregnant to come in for a fertility test BEFORE you go nuts on her! I thought it was cool they gave a warning, I can imagine some psycho killing what he thought was his 'unfaithful wife'.

On a side note, I feel for you. I had a tubal ligation yet every month around 'that time' I STILL get stressed out waiting. Good luck!

My dad have been given a vasectomy after me and my youthful sister have been born...over 10 years later he have been given it reversed. upon getting it reversed he have been given a sperm count selection and found out the reversal did no longer artwork, so he have been given yet another one. approximately 2 months after the 2d reversal my mom have been given pregnant and that that they had my little brother. regrettably the 'tubes' scarred yet back simply by fact my mom hasn't been waiting to get pregnant considering my little brother replaced into born. :( So there are multiple issues that could happen with reversals, and a guy could prefer better than one, even though it extremely is continuously well worth it. My brother is *actually* a genius. :)

It happened to my mom. Years after my step-dad had a vasectomy she got pregnant. He went to the doctor because he was sure that my brother could not be his. Guess what. he was fertile again and I have a brother who is 13 years younger than me. I was the next to the last of 8 kids.

My husband healed after his first attempted vasectomy and he was just as potent as before "Superman" he calls himself....LOL

So you might want to take a pregnancy test and have him get a sperm count done. He should have had his sperm count checked sometime shortly after the surgery.
After my husband's second attempt it worked so it can happen.

It IS possible to get pregnant after your husband has a vasectomy. Especially if you sleep with people other than your husband.

it hasn't happened to me, but a lady I know became pregnant. Her husband went back to his doctor and for some freakish reason, he had not two but three tubes from which his sperm traveled. The doctor only (cut / tied) two of them as this, from what the doctor said, is rare to see.
