Bulk E-mail question???

Question

I keep getting 3-4 emails a day in my bulk email saying "failure delivery notice" when I have never sent anything, is it a virus? And why am I suddenly getting them. It started when I started my Myspace account which I have since deleted.

Yes, that is very likely a virus. MySpace is really bad with viruses, but the kind that shows up as a failure delivery notice is very common. Just delete them and never open them or especially any attachment that may come with them.
When this happens, it means that either you have a virus, or someone who has your email address in their address book has the virus.
I was once getting those failure delivery notices that appeared to be coming from myself!
Get yourself a good virus scan!

While it could be a virus (run a virus check to be sure), it is more likely a scam. The scammers are always trying to find new ways to get you to open their e-mails so they can infect your PC. So one of the newer ones is an e-mail that says "Failure Delivery Notice". Must people will be concerned enough to open it to see what is wrong. If it was a REAL failure notice, it would NOT be going to your Bulk Mail. A REAL failure would be coming from Yahoo, and they do not "bulk mail" themselves.

no you're not sending anything do scan for viruses AND do not reply to these emails.. they're PHISING!

they're trying to make it look like you have a problem on your system..

most likely there's none.

but do check your system.

and disreguard those notices.
