Yes it did happened to me all the time... It is called an Out of Body Experience, and it has to be with Astral Traveling. It is something more normal that what we think and the falling effect is simply when yo are entering/exiting your body after astral traveling or astral projection. I learned a lot by reading a book called FLYING WITHOUT A BROOM by D.J. CONWAY. The book explains everything about astral projection and the astral world and by the way a simple tip just by meditating a couple minutes, before going to bed and asking to have a smooth exit and entrance when astral traveling and also to remember when you wake up and it works. Also keep a journal it's amazing to go back after a while and read it, you might be surprise of the stuff you might find !!!

Yes it has happened to me before. It was the most terrifying thing in the world for me.
It is said that if you dream you are falling and you do not wake up before you hit the ground, you will die. They base that on the fact that your spirit leaves your body at night and goes wondering hence the reason for dreaming. Dreams are visions.
I believe it though.

This happens to me ALOT. It's strange.....I'll be in that "half asleep" stage, and have a dream that I'm on a seesaw, or a boat, or something like that. I'll dream that I'm falling and jerk myself awake b/c I actually get scared and feel like I AM falling! It's very weird, isn't it?

Yes.
One night I woke up, and my stomach felt like it was flying. I actually really seriously felt the sensation of falling. It was really weird.
