God damn, you limeys make even cheering for sports sound *****.
I "support" my mom when she's greiving over my dad's death.
I "support" my female friends when they're feeling down or they're on the rag.
I "support" my best friend when he's feeling down about being fired from his job.
I "cheer" for my teams.
I don't "support" soccer because it's like watching slow hockey players (the real kind, where people lose teeth and skate at 30 miles per hour) on grass.
