not true, as a gardener, i have tried these and believe me they do not work. It's just as bad as putting salt on your lawn. Best thing to do is by fertilizer and watch your grass get greener. By the way, Scott's Turf Builder has particals which divide nitrogen, greenness and texture to your grass equally, and that's what i reccomend

Don't listen to these other guys. Here's the recipe. It all gets mixed in a hose end sprayer. It's called all season tonic. Jerry Baker has tonics for bugs, weeds, and more.
1 can beer
1 cup ammonia
1/2 cup liquid dish soap
1/2 cup liquid lawn food
1/2 cup molasses or corn syrup

if you really wanted to get your grass greener and fuller, the best way but not the cheapest is to sprinkel gun powder all over your lawn and about 2 weeks later, your lawn will be perfect.....
