I went into at least 50 diff. emails and clicked on the link to no longer receive any mail but that didn't work and I really don't like going into them cause I'm afraid I'll get a virus.

Block the ones you don't want to receive, and never open any you don't know where they are from, or know the sender.

Bulk mail will empty by itself depend on how many days you've set it
From Bulk menu I think is safe but do not open it unless you see someone you know

Some of the spyware has included in the email, Word, wordpad so if click and open that email the spyware will installs it in your systems

There are alot of hackers out there are looking for your ebay or hotmail, Yahoo password so the best is to change your passwords regularly

If it happen to you go download a 30 days trial from Zonealarm and its will get rid off spyware and Virus on your systems

You can set in email filter to accept only email that you know
The rest will go to bulks

if you are using hotmail go into options and set your email filter so only people on your address book are allowed. you will not get anymore " spam". I do believe it is called exclusive email settings. Most email providers have that option. Have my yahoo set that way too but right off hand I don't remember how I did it. and don't be for opening those email links if you don't know who the sender is, your opening yourself up for some big time trouble. That is exactly what they want you to do. Just delete them and reaport them as spam.

Mark them as spam. If they keep coming from the same domain, block the entire domain in your preferences.
