I'm not sure if they're is something I can ad to my site to do this, but I feel like I've seen code for this before. I've been through my hosts control panel to see if there was anything there, but they don't offer anything like this. Is there a piece of code that will just tell me how many people have bookmarked my page. It would also be nice to know what browser they were using at the same time.

I do have good stats through my host. That may be the way to go. I know what percentage of people are using what browsers and all. I was just wondering if there was code I could implement to let me know if the page was bookmarked. I swear I've seen this before somewhere. I dunno..maybe I was on crack.

I didn't think about tracking my favicon. That's a good idea!

Some browsers will generate a hit to an image in the root of your website named favicon.ico. This is how sites are able to change the image that appears to the left of the address in your browser. Even though you don't have the image on your site, you may be able to track the number of invalid hits to the image. Internet Explorer does not generate the request to this image unless the site is added to the favorites ("bookmarked"). I think I have seen Firefox actually request the image regardless of whether it was bookmarked, so the number of hits to the favicon.ico image should give you a good estimate, but it won't be exact.

I have not seen anything that lets you know if someone has created a bookmark. Would not be surprised if there is such a thing...

But check with hour hosting service. Most provide statistic on visitors, etc. One of those is usually where they came from. If they come to your website from a bookmark, you will be able to see that. You may not know how many bookmarked you, but you will know how many people actually USE the bookmark.
