the price of oil has declined.

In addition to the slight decrease in the price of crude oil, the price drop is based upon projected drop in usage. Since car travel usually declines after the summer is over, generally after labor day, demand is projected to decline and therefore prices will go down accordingly. Simple Keinsian Economics.

Furthermore, there are two different blend types for gasoline. Summer and Winter. Winter blend is starting to come out and it is cheaper to produce.

Thats what I want to know. We were so supposedly short on gas, and there is a pipeline that needs repair and is costing millions, and the cost of trucking and refining gas has skyrocketed, so they told us on the news in Aug. And now it is down to $2.40! Goes to prove not to beilieve what you hear on the news doesn't it? No doubt, however, that by the time the people in colder climates are going to need to consume more for their heating it will go up. Supply and demand, when more is demanded, you can bet it will go up.
