No, music lovers aren't dying out. Though they were decimated by pop and rap. I like grunge and metal and I do not understand either why people prefer pop music etc.

They are long gone you have to get with the times, and I am afraid that a lot of what is about today is crap, but you could try listening to Eminem his greatest hits album is fantastic, or Snow Patrol or even The Coral or The Feeling.
Oh and of course you always have The Ordinary Boys their album Brassbound is good!

Give it a try and I am sure you will find something you like!!!

The music world would be a very Gray place if we all had a similar collective taste and appreciation. Everybodys ipods would have the same track compilation, you go to somebodies house and their Cd collection would be identical...that would be insane. I have musical preference too but I celebrate difference too.. whether I like that genre or not. Musical taste is subject to change..it develops as you change over time. Sometimes it's good for us to hear a track we dislike..it helps us appreciate our own choice of music much more!

The real music is dead and very hard to find if you can find any at all.
Even the recorded music chains do not have classical any more. I love it, but can't find it.
Old 50's rock and old types is good, but metal and grunge is not music to my ears.

Really agree with you. I have been brought up on Trad Jazz, Rock and Roll, heavy rock, big band, opera, classical music and out and out pop.
I like it all but some of the new stuff including RAP makes me want to switch of my radio.

yeah, thats a great question. I don't like beoncey or ciara. it's not my music. I like rock or other. That's the real music I think. Why do people hear this music?

It's the fatcats up in their ivory palace who make the decisions and they'd rather watch some nearly naked barely legal girl strut her stuff and bouce her boobies than someone with real talent who may be aging--jagger, tyler, van halen, etc. Even crow, etheridge, and donnas don't get enough airplay and there's more talent in ONE of them than in all of the singing barbies put together!!!!!!!!!
