i want to get my makeup done for my birthday. this is my first time and i am not exactly sure how the routine goes. i plan on getting it done at MAC, how much would i have to expect to pay? also, am i allowed to do some sort of run through like a week before.. just to know how it would come out?
would they put on fake eyelashes for me? whoever has had makeup professionally done for an event, please help me out with some details and things i should expect! thanks =]
also, my birthday dress is a light lavender color made from satin material (it's a bcbg dress). any makeup recommendations? i was thinking dark black eye makeup, with lavender (with silver sparkles) eyeshadow? followed by MAC prrr lipglass.. what do u think? any suggestions?

I've had my makeup done by MAC Twice, The cost to have your makeup done is free but you have to purchase $40 worth of product. What do you mean "do some sort of run through"? you mean talking to the ladies at MAC About it?? What you do is look through a magazine and find pictures of models makeup style that you like and bring that too them on the day and tell them that's how you want it. I brought a picture of pamela anderson because she had the dark smokey eye look that i wanted. And yes they will put fake eyelashes on for you, They may charge a little extra though.

um... okay MAC is the best place to have make up done... okay they dont do a run through but it ur b~day is on the wkend you might want to make an appointment... they'll be great just make sure you talk to the person so that they know what you want for your make up ... its cost around $25... they will only put on fake eye lashes if they thing you need it... their number 1 rule is to make you look as nature as you can be.... remember to trust the person they know what there doing you need to trust them ... if you go to sephora or something they can do it for free, as long as you make an appointment. maybe bring in a pic of the dress and show it to the make-up person in case they have an awesome idea that you havent thought of. make sure to tip her!
oh yeah and wear a button-down shirt so you dont mess up the make-up and so you dont have to go there in your dress. this will also be good if you plan on getting your hair done.

They charge by the half hour for having you makeup done.. I think it's about 50 bucks.. or so .. per 30 minutes
