the Forrester will run really good on regular gas,,i own a repair shop,,and i have a few customers who have them,and they do alright on regular gas,buying a higher grade wont make it do better on gas,nor will it make it run any better,believe me i have tried all the different types of gas and regular does as good as anything else ,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

There's a booklet in the glove compartment called the owners manual. It will tell you what type of gas to use.

check your owners manual. most vehicles today run off unleaded gasoline, unless it is a diesel. Probably an octane rating of at least 87 would be sufficient.
