I told the nurse I had a sore throat and she said just drink fluids. I am worried that if this is a serious infection that my baby will catch it. My ob/gyn isn't open again until Monday and I am worried. Does anyone know if a bacterial throat infection can spread to an unborn baby?

Any infection can be bad for unborn babies, but do NOT take any medications for it. Just wait until your doctor is available on Monday. If it gets too bad, take some tylenol for pain, but nothing else. Your doctor should have an emergency number for you to call.
