okay, i had many photos in my computer. i encrypted them u know "right click> properties> advanced attributes> encrypt content to secure data". then i reinstalled windows xp and now i cant open them because "access denied!"
please help me!

look dear, if something is encrypted ...then it's been done with certain *keys*,and it eventualy turn tht into cipher code(encrypted code) now for regaining tht file from tht cipher you need to do decryption (which is just an opposite algorithm to your encrypt.)

look how tht happens...

file +XP encryption algo.+*key* ==> Cipher

cipher+XPdecryption+*key*==> file (the one you had previuosly)

and here ( those _key_ includes your previous *username and *passward and other attributes(which probly hadnt change))

encrypted files contain a username and password for the files, this corresponds to the user who created the encrypted files.
here is a link from microsoft knowledgebase which talks about recovering files if password is lost or something else.

there's a program called unlocker download it and try that
