Average gross profit margin on a newsagents stock lines is probably around 20%. Greetings cards usually have the highest mark up at about 100%.

i reckon lighters, i buy lighters in the shop normal disposable ones at about 8 pence if i go to a retailer and buy a box they work out to about 2 pence each, cost a fortune here in uk for the same lighter

whatever you can buy in bulk from cash n carry, crisps, sweets, pop etc. cigs, stamps and newspapers i think have a pretty poor margin
