http://www.deviantart.com/ is my favorite site. It has a lot of young, new artists on it trying to get some publicity. There is some crap, but there are real gems too. There are also formats other than wallpaper size and you can purchase prints of some of the work if you are interested. But the downloads are free!
Wallpaper should only be .jpg .bmp or some other graphic format. If you have to install anything, they are attaching software that you don't want to it. There is plenty of free stuff out there without this garbage on it. I bet you get at least 20 good suggestions.

There is a MASS amount of wallpapers out there on a site called http://www.deviantart.com . This is a site where artists publish their work for the public to view. There are thousands of free wallpapers on there for you to pick through and all different kinds of categories.

You can use your own pictures for wallpaper on your computer, and, unless you put viruses on them on yourself, they should be virus free!!

Well I haven received any viruses yet but maybe you can try save the picture by clicking the right side of your mouse and select save picture as... then save your picture. .That's what i do usually. .

don't download porn wallpaper, or wallpaper with a .exe file extension, even if it's a slideshow
