Maybe it's cos they know that the Eagles were created by the AFL (then VFL) to be a dominant team, as part of their marketing strategy to take over the West, so Eagles fans resent the fact that the Dockers have earnt everything they have got from scratch and weren't gifted it...

Well people from the same town usually pick a side.
You see, when the Dockers emerged in 1995, it provided a rival team. And gradually built a pool of rival supporters. Imagine if a second team was formed in your hometown which sometimes beat your team! wont u be ticked off as well?
Im sure its the same situation in South Australia

if you attend a western derby where dockers fans have the homeground advantage (About 80% of the tickets are allocated to dockers' members, since WCE and docs share the same homeground, they rotate the homeground advantage thing) then you would be spat at, stuffs thrown at you and being CONSTANTLY sworn at. Feral, Freo Fans.
I have met a few nice ones though but they are rare.
is that a place that anyone would want to take their families to? i think not.
I've never encountered a collingwood supporter but i've heard they are the worse of the worse AFL supporters.

simply because froe supporters are defective in some way, well in every way. the dockers are a joke, they add nothing to football, especially football in freo. as a life long supporter of south fremantle i can, with all certainty say that the dockers are the worst thing to happen to fremantle football EVER!!!!!!

I'm not sure, I'm a 'Kangaroo' myself and there is no particular team we want to beat, just ALL of 'em!
But I do like a GOOD game, even if my Kanga's aren't playing!
