Every pregnancy is different, the smaller you are the more weight you should gain, but I suggest you take up some additionaly walking regularly if you are normally 135lbs+.
I'm also 5mos (YAY) so far I've put on 8 lbs. I was in the middle of a weight loss regimen when I found out that I was pregnant, so my metabolism is very high. I've kept up some physical activity and been able to maintain the same body fat.
I'd look out mostly for 'mush' and not weight because that is what you will have to tone up before you start losing weight after you have your baby.

I really think it depends on the woman. I gained A LOT of weight with my first two pregnancies. But this time around I've actually lost a pound. I'm 16 weeks and I'm still wearing most of my normal clothes. My belly is just starting to poke out so I've probably gained a few pounds in the past couple of weeks.
I wouldn't stress about it too much as long as you're not pigging out or anything. Also, keep exercising. Even if it is just walking for 30 minutes or so a day.
Some women gain a lot and some don't. I gained so much with my first two but I lost it all. So, try not to stress and do NOT let your doctors stress you over it. Many of them love to do that.
Congrats!

Generally they would like you to put on the majority of your weight in the last two trimesters of your pregnancy...that said, you are probably fine, just be sure to eat healthy and watch your weight from here on out. DO NOT DIET...just be careful to only take in what you need. I put on 28 lbs with my first pregnancy and 29 lbs with my second. Everyone is different but putting on too much weight is really not healthy for you or the baby, so just be careful and you both will be fine! Good luck!

Everyone is different, and every pregnancy is different. Just make sure you eat healthy, and walk a lot (cause it helps) or if you exercised before you got pregnant, then don't stop. I wouldn't worry too much about the numbers. It could just be water retention. What does the doctor say?

I would not worry about it unless your doctor tells you that you are gaining to much weight. Each women is different. Some gain the weight early and some gain it later in their pregnancy.

I know that some women only gain baby weight. So basically the placenta, fluids and the baby. Other's gain additional weight because their diets are different now then before.
If your worried, ask your doctor. He/she will be able to let you know.

I don't think so. I gained like 32 lbs. With me I think I gained more after I had the baby. There are alot of people that gain alot more than 14lbs. Just eat healthy (but don't deny yourself junk food....some sweets are okay) And exercise....if you do then your labor will come easier.
