Good luck with using Outlook for checking your yahoo mail. I tried it on my HP laptop and there is a flaw in the Microsoft Office program that interferes with Outlook. I kept getting error messages. When I did an internet search using the info in the error message, I found there were numerous people having the same problem, and those who tried to resolve it with Microsoft found Microsoft continually refused to acknowledge that it was their program that was malfunctioning. I downloaded the Microsoft fix for the error and it didn't fix the problem. I finally gave up and I don't use Outlook at all now.

Check the Yahoo mail help for server settings to use with Outlook.

More info from Yahoo:
Yahoo! Mail users can read their Yahoo! Mail messages in Netscape, Eudora, or Outlook by subscribing to the Yahoo! Mail Plus service. This service allows you to use Outlook, Eudora, or another POP3 client to access and manage your Yahoo!

It appears you must subscribe to Yahoo! Mail Plus to have this feature now. I knew I didn't use Yahoo Mail for a reason!

If you are trying to find your SMTP and POP server addresses, go to the Options page from your email, one of the options will tell you the setting you need to use in Outlook (or any other mail program).
