Excessive preparation and procrastination are common problems for perfectionsists. When you need to know the entire scope of a topic so you can write the definitive paper, it's bound to be overwhelming.

First, you'll need to clearly define the project so you don't have to read everything that MIGHT be relavant.

Then, you need to write in pnemonic phrases to represent concepts. Don't write the whole paragraph, quote, etc, just write the idea and (if you need to) where you can find quotes, data, etc,.

Finally, you start putting things in the order they need to appear in your paper to create logical flow. Write your intro and ending (so you know what the content should support. Then flesh out the ideas, add quotes, etc.

One last tip- if you schedule parts of this (have the outline done by Saturday night. . . ) you won't let research take up the whole time allowed. Good luck!

It's hard, but sometimes you have to just take time for yourself, put everything down, and relax. It'll clear your head, refresh you, and when you come back to your projects and studying, you'll have a better grasp of everything. I always have a rule of not studying the night before a test (or the day of the test). People think I'm crazy because of it, but when they see that I consistenty am at the top of the class, they change their tune. The way I figure it is if I don't know it by then, I'm not really going to be able to cram it in anyway, so I might as well relax, refresh, and prepare my brain that way for the test.

taking some time off in between would be good for u...taking too much time at work, too much time understanding research and analysing all of ur work at the same time will leave ur brain confused by taking too much of all the information without resting it, leaving u thinking more than what u have to...even the people with the most brilliant mind takes some day off...better do the same

I think you should set up a pace for you to follow. Sit down and make a schedule. Follow the scedule and set in rewards for you also. Example: If you get half of it finished on schedule or before schedule treat your self. Set atainable goals and structure your self to obtain them.

Any health food store has B-12 drops. Hold them under your tongue and the feeling of tired laziness goes away. At least it works for me!
