What is a good "first" show to take someone to? I have seen several shows and was wondering what show would be good for someone (an adult) who has never been-as far as a BEST FIRST experience. I need a touring show so please don't pick something new since they don't tour right away. Thanks for your input!

Phantom of the Opera is very popular, and very accessible for many people (it's not that complicated), but you should note that it is almost completely sung through, with very little speaking. Some people don't like that. It's also not a traditional musical-comedy, if that's what you are looking for, but it does have a lot of spectacle. Another good, fun show is Hairspray, which is very funny, has some great numbers, and a social theme to boot. It's a more traditional style Broadway show. Beauty and the Beast falls into that category as well, as does The Producers, although the last has humor that some people love, and others hate. All four of these shows are usually available at half price from TKTS, located at the bottom of the Marquis hotel (47th and Broadway, right off Times Square), just try to get there relatively early. See http://www.tdf.org/tkts/index.html for more info on half-price tickets.

Phantom of the Oprea!

Cats and shows like cat has to much singing and not enough talking or no talking. Poto is the best play I have ever seen. Thats the one I suggest, but there other good ones like

Jease chirst super star (good)
Fiddler on the roof (grate play)
Disany plays on broadway are pritty good.
But I still send you to see the Phantom anyday.
