Has anyone really seen a good movie remake? I am sure there are some, but off the top of my head I can not think many.. Watched the remake of The Fog last nite on HBO, was not impressed. Did like Dracula with Winona Ryder though. Please tell me which ones you thought were pretty good.

A Perfect Murder with Michael Douglas and Gwyneth Paltrow was pretty good. Doesn't compare with the original, Dial M For Murder with Ray Milland and Grace Kelly, but it wasn't bad.

I do generally agree with you but I've found 2 exceptions (that I can think of while at work-you know how your job zaps your brain cells?)

What's Up Doc? (Barbra Streisand & Ryan O'Neal) was a good remake of Bringing Up Baby (Katharine Hepburn & Cary Grant)

Heaven Can Wait (Warren Beatty & James Mason) was a good remake of Here Comes Mr. Jordan (Robert Montgomery & Claude Rains)

ooh, see I just remembered a third- Imitation of Life (Lana Turner & Juanita Moore) was a good remake of the 1934 version of the same name (Claudette Colbert & Louise Beavers)

I had to go back a ways but, that's the only one's worthy that I could muster up!
