It seems theyare affraid that they might have to give some back to those they take from and enslave with low wages .Seems like a man who can build along with others several homes a year should be able to own one .But conservatives continually force inflation up and cause the rise in realestate to make purchasing land more exspensive then the homes that go on them .
The ratio use to be 10% for the land and today it is over 50% .Conservative money movers and policy shappers are robbing the working man of security and prosperity in order to hoard millions in profits that should be taxed and returned in services to the working people who provide them .

If you have a pile of three boxes setting on the floor. The top box represents the rich the middle is the middle class and the bottom is the poor. The repuglicans feel that if you lift the top box that they others will follow and that is just not the case. In order to move the whole pile you have to lift from the bottom. It is that way in real life if you want to move the population you need to lift from the bottom. Everybody moves that way. As it is now under this criminal and corrupt administration they are doing everything they can to give to the rich at the expense of the poor. Every move that Bush has made has been for the betterment of the rich. This is why I will never vote for a repuglican, ever.

This is an interesting question. You will need to set the idea of Democrat and Republican aside and look at the concepts of the liberals and the conservatives. Both liberals and conservatives have agendas that are destroying the middle class.
Liberals believe in wealth redistribution. In other words, they want to take money from the middle-class an give it to the disadvantaged. Not a bad concept, but they tend to get carried away with the notion.
Conservatives believe in wealth accumulation. In others words, they want to take money from the middle-class and keep it for themselves. Again, this is not a bad concept, they they also go over the deep end with greed.
These two philosophies had been kept in check for years by the moderate middle class. The moderate middle-class, however, has been systematically eliminated from congress. Conservatives and liberals have split the moderates by introducing moral issues into the political arena like abortion and gay rights. These hot-button issues have loaded the congress with only liberals or conservatives.
This absence of moderates in congress set us up for the perfect storm: the free trade agreements passed during the last ten years.
The free trade agreements satisfied the desires of both liberals and conservatives. It allowed the liberals the opportunity to redistribute America's wealth abroad to so-called poorer nations. It allowed the conservatives to get richer off the backs of cheaper labor overseas. It effected the middle-class in a very negative way. It ushered in the exporting of good paying middle class jobs. Jobs that once payed a fair wage with benefits were quickly sent abroad and replaced with lower paying service jobs.
THe effects of this is clear. Big business has an exploding bottom line while more Americans are under employed and fewer have health care coverage. The economic data clearly shows the American wage earners salaries are not keeping up with the economic expansion, while wages in other countries like China are increasing.
If you are a member of the middle-class and profess to be either a liberal or a conservative you have been duped by the wealthy. To undo this, we must elect more moderates to congress. Being a moderate has nothing to do with party affiliation. A moderate can be a Democrat or a Republican. A moderate will cross party lines to vote for the country and not the party. When voting for your elected officials, you must listen to them and their beliefs to judge whether they are a liberal, a conservative, or a moderate. You cannot depend on voting along a party line to get yourself represented in congress.

The ratio of land price to home is determined by supply and demand, not rich people or conservatives. There is plenty of land that would have a ratio of 1% - it's just not in the middle of NYC. Anyone who actually observes cause and effect knows that raising taxes on the rich lowers government revenues, because it stifels productivity. The best way to help poor people is to educate them and the US provides more educational opportunities than anywhere else in the world.

I don't believe all conservatives are wealthy. Most conservatives know, are conservative because of their moral beliefs, not because of money. The tax issue is secondary, and just a topic used by liberals to claim they care more about the poor than conservatives. Most conservatives that I know are hard workers who resent paying high taxes for big government programs like,
welfare and other government handouts. I don't mind paying into these programs to help someone get back on their feet, but I don't want to support this way of life for them. I also don't want my tax money going to illegal immigrants for free services that hard working Americans have to pay for. I would also like to see a return to traditional American values, like keeping marriage only between a man and woman, keeping God in the pledge, and not being ashamed to display the ten commandments on government property. Unfortunately, liberals have ruined the democratic party, and there are no more "old time Democrats".
Most are leaning republican to keep with traditional American values. Why is it that democrats back illegal immigrants and want to provide services to them, and pay them a very low wage.
Conservatives want them to go home, apply for US citizenship and wait in line, like everyone else?

There have been rising in real estate since there has been real estate. Ask your Grandma what they paid for their first home and they didn't know how they were going to pay for it. It is all relative to the economy and what the market will bear. There has been more home ownership with this Administration than any other time in history. There are many reason the costs of new builds have risen, and two of them are the costs of concrete and the costs of steel due to the extreme expansion of China's development. We feel those costs here. So your words are not of truth and are indeed non factual.

Yes,the financial divide is conservative and morally obscene, that's why they rail for "moral values" with an ocean of false tears. The working class is getting screwed over by this Karl Rove-styled America where people with no health insurance and no savings are voting Republicans because they "hate queers".

What a mess!

I live in a very liberal place, no Republican could possibly be elected here, and it isn't the conservatives here that are making the houses expensive. The liberal government here believes in restricting the land and deciding how things should be built on it. The average house cost where I am at is $500,000 because of that. And the democrats here vote with their wallet as well. We continue to cut social programs, medical care, etc. for the poor. So this isn't a problem with "conservatives". But it's okay. Live in your delusional land where liberals are self-sacrificing, pure, and good, and conservatives are the cause of all ill.

FIRST I AM A CHRISTIAN, CONSERVATIVE THAT HAPPENS TO BE REPUBLICAN. UNTIL A MONTH AGO WE WERE LIVING OFF OF MY DISABILITY AND MY HUSBAND WAS GOING TO COLLEGE. HE IS A HIGH ENGLISH TEACHER NOW. SO YOU KNOW WE ARE NOT RICH BY YOUR STANDARDS. I HAVE ALWAYS SUPPORTED THAT WE SHOULD HELP THE POOR, WIDOWED, ORPHANED. THE CHURCH I ATTENDED GAVE FREE FOOD EVERY WEEK TO THOSE WHO NEEDED IT AND I WAS ONE WHO WENT EACH WEEK. I USE TO GO TO PLACES THAT GAVE AWAY FREE CLOTHES. ONCE AGAIN FROM CHURCHES.

MAYBE IF WE TAXED EVERYONE THE SAME AMOUNT 10% WE COULD BE DOING BETTER. BUT IT SEEMS IT IS THE MIDDLE CLASS THE PAYS THE MOST. NEVER BEEN IN A RICH MAN'S SHOES TO SAY HOW IT IS FOR THEM.

Yeah, well, conservative republicans either don't know, don't care, don't care to know....

They think the system is just fine as is because they are blinded to see how much is going so wrong, how corporate interest has taken over our government and how the middle class is being killed.

and note to spider X above:
I agree, the democrat politicians also serve special interest and get just as corrupted....
The whole system stinks, this is why third party needs in and corporate greed and welfare needs to get out so the people can be once again protected by OUR government, and do what is their job to do.
He is referring not to the corruptable Repubs AND dem. politicians, but to the actual people who support them and what the core values are of the people who support the status quo.
