Modern phones store texts on the phone, not the SIM. But some brands such as Nokia, will give you the option as to where you want to store them OR they will put them on the SIM if you choose to archive or save a message from deletion.

If you have never screwed around with messaging settings and you phone is pretty new. Then you will be fine.

Nowadays most nokia phone have the option whether u want to save all incoming msgs in phone or expandable (if any)memory or SIM card.

if the phone is staying the same but only changing the sim i would say yes...most of everything you do saves to phone not to sim unless you tell it too or it asks you...make sure that you didnt save your phone book to sim or when you change it you will lose all your numbers...

Yes, the sim card only stores names and numbers not the text messages. you have to delete those seperately.
