I do not want to say he was wrong but in time, one might prove him to be on the right track. but at this time.. no one really knows how or which direction to go to find out about the possibility of time travel

There was a mathematical paper titled Rotating Cylinders and the Possibility of Global Causation Violation; and a s/f story by the same title, based on the original paper. The s/f story was by Larry Niven, and the original paper was (I think) by Frank Tippler.
Basically, the idea is that it is theoretically possible to travel around a sufficiently massive rotating cylinder in closed loops which will bring a person back to their starting point in both space and time. We can't build such a cylinder and test the theory, but with satellite instruments we could possibly see some neutron stars in orbit around black holes returning to their starting point in both space and time. It would be an interesting confirmation of the idea.
Therefore, the time ship would be a space ship, one could travel to the past and make changes, then return to the present. Niven postulates an inertia to time, such that the Universe will act to preserve cause-and-effect by preventing time travel. In his story, a sun went nova to prevent people who had decided to build a time machine for war purposes from starting the project. If they had not been destroyed, presumably they would have succeeded in wiping out their enemies before they were born, thus messing up the cause-and-efect relationship of the Universe.

A right fair question, and the basis for a lot of conjecture about time travel. I don't think anyone knows the correct answer to this yet -- Einstein's theories work well for all the experiments which have been conducted, and so is accepted as the current paradigm for scientific knowledge. But just as Newtonian mechanics turned out to be incomplete, and a special case of relativistic mechanics, so Einstein's theories may turn out to be special cases of a future theory.

Theoretically he is correct. If you work through the mathematical equations, for example the ones that say the universe has 10 dimentions (or whatever the number is) than in some upper dimention space-time can be folded back on itself.
The thing is, currently we know of no physical way to make that happen. I suppose you could say it's just a problem of engineering! So mathematically it is possible, but we don't have the technology to do it.

there has been contemporary analyze proving that easy could no longer have a defined bigger speed. If this proves out, then Einsteins relativity theories could be in intense jeopardy. right it extremely is a excerpt from a eastern physicist that wrote a e book on easy: between physicists, it extremely is notably assumed that one's staggering hazard for a bounce forward discovery will come earlier one reaches the age of 30. authentic or no longer, this theory leads youthful physicists inclusive of João Magueijo to pull out all the psychological stops interior the quest for glory and immortality. Notice the basis of mass and energy - E = mc2, and m = E/c2. It is that of physical time. Then there is the time relationship between mass and energy c2 = E/m. In all of these expressions, time alone is constant whereas energy and mass are not. This means the construction of our universe is one of physical time.
This value does not change, and if it were to change it would not be part of our universe, because it would not match up with the value of "c". This value is what forms us, and is why all events pass from the present into the past at an universal rate. Any machine devised by mankind to move oneself into either the past or future would, itself, be composed of physical time, thus it could have no bearing on changing any time value.
Everything, and everyone, who existed in the past is existent in present time - they've just been changed into something else. It is the same with the future. Everything that is going to be created in the future is existent in present time - it just hasn't been put together yet. TIME RULES. http://360.yahoo.com/noddarc there is a short paper, "What is Time", it may be of interest.

The space time curvature was introduced to allow gravity in to his equations. It doesn't have any physical relevance. There fore it can not be done in reality. Time travel is a hoax.
