No its not normal. I did the same thing when I was 15 and I'm now 38. My went for 60 days and I had to have a D&C and found out that I didn't have enough hormones of progestin to stop my period they gave me a hormore shot and everything got better, and you might want to have your thyroid check too, it can cause abnormal bleeding.

As far as I've heard it's not regular at the beggining and at the end of the life of menstruation.
My sister told me this, but she is no doctor. This might be a good time to go to the ginecologist and make all the questions you need.
Basicly when you first get your period and finally when you stop having your period, it's very irregular; but that is a long time for your period.
My sister says normal is a week or less.

I don't remember my first period, but I'm pretty darn sure 22 days isn't right :) Don't worry though... did you talk to your mom? Persoanlly I would go to a doctor if you can, or call one of those free health helplines? Or just call a doctor, any doctors office, they should help you with some questions. Are you in any/alot of pain?
Generally periods last between 3 and 10 days.

I think, you should have a talk with your Mom & go see a Doctor.
Usually a period last 4-7 days & comes every 28 days.

you really need to go to the doctors about that. it should only last from 2 to 6 days. never 22.

That is really too long for a 13 yr old. I really suggest calling a gyn.
