"What is the meaning of life?" is probably the most-asked philosophical question by humanity at large, though we will probably never find the answer, for whatever reason. Common answers include: happiness or flourishing; love; compassion; pleasure; reproduction; power; 42; knowledge, understanding, or wisdom; and being blessed, or achieving union with God or the divine; or simply that there is no meaning to life. ...

TO BE HAPPY!
I dont think anyone will ever be able to work this one out. At the biological level were just organisms made up of cells, that come into being through reproduction. So surely the meaning of life must be simply to be happy (or try everything we can to be happy)! We only get one chance to pass this way, and so surely no matter how selfish some of our actions, being true to yourself your quest in life should be to find what makes the experience the most magical it can be for you. Thats why I dotn think people should do jobs that really make them intensely miserable for too long or things like that. I wouldnt condone acctions like murder etc to make yourself happy, im keeping within reason and moral boundaries that everyone has their equal right to be happy even if it disagrees with what you want. Maybe think the rights of man, everythin you can to be happy as long as it doesnt infringe too much on someone else......

At a basic / biological level, the meaning of life is to live or to survive. But it doesn’t stop there. At a higher level, every living organism also participates in ensuring the long term survival of its community or society, its species, and its environment. Beyond that, every living organism also participates in evolution - giving rise to new species, and new types of communities and societies, that are more capable of surviving. So, ultimately, life is about the long term survival and proliferation of this chain reaction, called life, that started with the first living organism and continues until today.
Apart from this meaning of life at the physical level, there is also the non-physical level. On this level, life is about “reflection”, or discovering the meaning of life itself, the nature of the universe, and the relationship between the two. As evolution leads to more and more intelligent species as well as more evolved societies of species, they are more and more capable of reflection, and this process will also continue until some living organism or some society of living organisms in the future finds the true and complete meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

To be all it can be - to know itself by subdivision into discrete conscious packets that can observe the whole and confront others and learn from that interaction more about the whole which is itself - the great I AM.
On a different scale - you do and are at your best when you are happy. You didn't spring from a rock, so you should reduce friction in the collective machinery by getting along reasonably well, and to an extent limited by resources, replace your finite self if you succeed in so doing.
Of all that I've heard on this personal level, the best and briefest came from a supposedly moron character on Family Ties, the sister of Michael J. Fox's character: "That's easy - be happy, try not to hurt anyone, and hope to fall in love."

The meaning of life to ou is a self understanding of the relationship between you , nature, and your spiritual worlds if you have one.
The meaning of life is as you define your life, and how you relate to your life among others. Do you defie life a sin material values vs spiritual values, or an understanding of things going around you, both material and non material.
Life cannot really be defined just lived, understood, and refined if yu have the will and means.

for everyone the meaning of life is different. We all brainwashed to want different things in life and once we come into realize what in life we want (self discovery, popularity, financially success) then that is what out life means. Not ones person idea of what the meaning of life is better than anyone elses. We also can not control our thoughts and desires because we no longer have control of our thoughts, out knowledge and what we pollute our minds with.

I believe that the meaning of life is synthetic.
The act of attaching meaning to life is a human trait to bring definition and context to our existence. Without attaching meaning people would suffer existential crises. Meaning provides incentive for people to improve the quality of their lives, whether that meaning is moral, religious or otherwise.
For example, religious people believe that there is a grand designer and that we are the culmination of his handiwork. They believe if we lead righteous and faithful lives we are rewarded spiritually. If we do not, we are condemned for eternity. The meaning of life in this case is spiritual where the rewards are significant enough to be incentive to improve our daily lives (i.e. if you steal you're going to burn in hell).
In other words, attaching meaning to life is about improving our lives by defining our purpose and then striving to attain that purpose.
However, I do not think there is a grand design and maintain there is no meaning to our existence other than the meaning we create. The human race is nothing more than a by-product of millions of molecules interacting with each other over millions of years in a complex and dazzling dance.

The meaning of life is different for everyone. For me, it's making everyone happy around me and being happy myself. Then, for me, one of the meanings of life is to learn new things all the time and so becoming a wise and intelligent person and also creating, especially writing.

Well. It could be that the answer is to find the question . There are lots of questions , lots of answers . If there are lots of answers to lots of questions then we are looking down the wrong end of the telescope when we look for the answer to the question. I think the real question is the unasked one hovering just beyond human reason but confronting us with its totality . Imagine if you were alone on a vast ocean , safe but alone. What would you ask the void . The void would give you no answer except silence. silence answers with screaming silence. silence question you. You are the meaning of life . You.
