There's a very valid reason for those sites being blocked. If you're surfing to places like that with absolutely zero educational value, you're not learning anything. And believe me, learn everything you can. Just making a decent living, comparable to what your parents provide you with now, is extremely cutthroat. Education is your biggest guarantee that you'll be as comfortable after you graduate as you are at home right now.
The other reason is safety and school legal liability for anything that might happen to you through contacts you've made on the internet while at school.
Do you really want to risk being hurt, getting your parents involved in a big ugly lawsuit while trying to deal with whatever happens to you?
I hope not.
