Does anyone have any ideas on how to save up happiness? Do you think its possible?

When I earn money I put some aside for when I'm not earning. Right now I feel happy and think I ought to put some aside in case the reasons for my current happiness flow away. (Of course its important to stay optimistic if you want to be really happy but I can hold both thoughts simultaneously I think.)

Short run/ long run answers welcome!

Happiness is a concept of consciousness - an emotion - that comes from the mind's automatized assessment that one's state (or the thing that one is regarding) promotes one's life, or is good for it.

One can store money (or save up vacation time) with which one can vacation with one's family. One can keep a library of books or movies, the reading or watching of which makes one happy. A collector may save coins or stamps or art. All of these presuppose that they make one happy. Happiness in all these cases involves one's own assessment. It is profoundly personal and happens in one's own mind.

To quote Sebastian D'Anconia in Atlas Shrugged, "Money can buy what you desire, but it will not provide you with desires."

To be happy is to be content with either the now, some past, or some anticipated future.

Unfortunately, happiness cannot be stored, ... but it can be cultured.

Plan ur time ahead, work with dedication in each activity(even making ur bed, organizing ur desk, polishing ur shoes, ur studies n work), with whomever u r speaking give ur full attention, n especially when u dont feel like it, give out a smil.

Your memories will keep your happiness for you always. Photos and keepsakes help with this. But the happiness you have can stay in your heart forever.

happiness, unlike money is unlimited. There is no federal reserve for happiness so you can be as greedy as youwant.take it, waste it, use it, throw it out and when you need it again it'll be right there . the choice is yours
