No, not yet. All realistic postulations an theories involving time travel center around black holes. We still do not understand them and what mysteries they may unlock. Science fiction floats around theories such as alternate universes that are living in different times, but there is no scientific evidence to make these even remotely credible.

Time travel into the future would seem to be more difficult if possible. While we cannot travel to any other time period, we can gaze upon the past. If you have ever seen a picture of a nebula you are seeing what it looked like thousands of years ago. Why?

The speed of light is limited. When viewing something light-years away from us we cannot actually see what is current. The light that has reached us is from the past. So, in theory, we could put a mirror in outer space thousands of light-years away and view the past. But actual travel is most likely fiction.

I hope this helps. I didn't explain it very well. Maybe I will have more time later to edit it. :)

Edit: As stated above we can seemingly travel into the future by traveling neer the speed of light. However, it is not actual time travel but rather a slowing down of time and thus our age. (Scientists even theorize that time comepletely stops around or in a black hole.) After this we are unable to return to the past. This does have scientific proof. Scientists at MIT observed particles on earth, from space, (meurons, I believe) whose half-life (something like .0034 nanoseconds, but they traveled thousands of years) would have made it impossible to survive to our planet. The conclusion was that time had slowed for them with the increas in speed.

What - did you just watch "The Fly"! I am still waiting - I am hoping I live long enough to see "Time Travel" become a reality - NO - it has not be developed, only in the movies! Transporting an object HAS occurred, but unfortunately some of the particles didn't make it! So I think I will wait - I personally, would like all MY PARTS to arrive "in tack"!Check out "Greek Mythology" - & book "The Prophet", we are learning more and more everyday, but what amazes me is, according to the above, even being in 2 places at once is possible. Its called "out-of-body" experience, and those of us who believe this (and I know someone who could do this, and proved it to ME!),makes me a true believer. There maybe no solid proof as yet, but its coming! Soon, I hope...

Time travel seems to attract enthusiasm rather than commonsense and scientific knowledge! Exactly what do you mean by 'time travel'? We all travel through time in the course of our lives.
Einstein drew attention to the reality that time-scales can be relative and dependent upon relative velocity, but this does not mean that by travelling at high speed the traveller will himself experience any change in the rate at which time passes. The change will only be noted by the 'stationary' observer and be relative to that observer.
True, by returning to earth, the traveller will have experienced a lesser time relative to the observer on earth, but his own experience of ageing will not be any different - he will not have won any extension to his life!

Except in the movies, there has been NO PROOF of any type of time travel.. From all of my studies, I doubt that it will ever exit but at this time, scientists have no proof of it.. Yes, there are people who state they have proof. but WHERE is the proof? It does not exist

No. Time travel is ok as good scientific fiction. In actuality there are lot contradictions this thoery faces. Foe eg if one travels back in time to his grand father's era and assassinates him his existence in present time becomes an absurdity!

No. Assuming it's possible, and even Steven Hawking isn't sure about that, and assuming it had somehow been done, it would probably be kept secret anyway.
But, you can always use the arguments the holy rollers use and say just because there's no proof doesn't mean it hasn't been done. :-)

Yes. you can go forward in time, but not backwards. To go forward in time, accelerate yourself to near the speed of light, then slow down and join us again, and you'll find that you will be in the future. This has been well proven with decaying elementary particals in accellerators.

even if there is not any such strong roof as to cajole you i visit allow you to do not ignore that the bible the koran the torah and the different non secular books all have references to god and they offer their data. even if those books cant be that good except for the bible. you note the koran and different non secular books the position spoken books for hundreds of years. it really is to assert that no man or woman wrote them down they merely were memorized and surpassed down so who knows how a lot change into lost. The bible is truly good for 2 causes. One is that that's the oldest and least replaced of them. the 2d reason is that many of the acts of jesus were repeated and pronounced in different books like the koran. they merely dont evaluate him the son of god. yet to boot the bible change into certainly replaced alot and revised at one aspect through religous officials. we can know about our future & past from power of mind. there have no time limit. But person or object cant travel trough time. but since infinitive past to infinitive future, all & every things can be know, cos they are recorded in our own mind. You can travel more speed than speed of light by help of your mind. it from your energy body. but it also not time travel, it is travel among energy levels. You can find your past via hypnosis.
