Ha! rahkokwee says educated Americans know better but are "leery" about all Muslims because you can't tell who's a radical? What a contradiction!

What's with this stock answer: Because Muslims haven't all risen up to denounce terrorists, they support them?
That's IPSO FACTO REASONING. Because Muslims do not go public to denouce terrorists does not, by that fact alone, mean they support it. They happen to live where a terrorist could easily shoot them for denouncing a specific terrorist group. Look at how many civilian deaths you see in Iraq!

Dear v (is that for villain?):
That long list of terror-type attacks over history does not represent anything except Muslim extremists. What's your point about it being justification for hating all Muslims?

OMG! penphonestaple below thinks if one out of three British Muslims say Western society should be brought to an end they mean that everyone should be killed? THEY'RE BEING ASKED ABOUT THE WESTERN WAY OF LIFE! Were they asked "Should all Westerners be killed?" Unbelievably misrepresenting what that survey indicated!

Absolutely not. Are we justified in hating all Germans for World War Two? Are we justified in hating all Christians for the massacres that have occured over the years in the name of their lord? These are a few extremists which can be found in all countries, races and religions.
For that matter, is the rest of the world justified in hating all Americans for their trade practices and war mongering that kill thousands each year? (A conservative estimate, I would say. There are probably thousands killed in the Banana trade alone each year, and all we pay is like $.60 for a bunch of Bananas.)
Oh... and Huge, the fact that most eductaed middle class americans think like you do is a complete justification why the rest of the world should hate America....God bless the uneducated poverty stricken..(which you say as though it passess judgment on their ability to tell right from wrong...money or education do not buy you a soul or ethics..or even brains, look at Bush.)

People who don't have the ability to think and discern do hate all Muslims. Unfortunately, too many people in America ignored their education and feel that sounding like an idiot is the way to fight.
If you don't speak up about the unjust hate for all Muslims, these uneducated people will continue to to act on their hate. Muslim people are no better or worse than any other people. What is happening in the Middle East is the cause of overt and covert operations by powers who want oil. What happened during the American Civil war was brother fighting against brother with 500,000 dying. Does that mean all Christians are bad? Don't be afraid to write what you truly think. This will save America and put the uneducated in their place.

No that's not really sensible.
But how can you tell the extremists from the peaceful?
A British survey by the Daily Telegraph found that 32% of British Muslims agree that Western society should be brought to an end.
That's an awfully large percentage.
How do you deal with a group of people one in three of whom wants you dead?
You must treat that group differently than you would treat others.

No more than Muslims should hate the rest of the world because the world has bought that otherwise usless (to them at least) oil and paid them in usable currency. Which in turn they used to educate and develop their countries.
If you really think ALL Americans hate ALL Muslims you are deluded. I know for a fact ALL Americans don't hate ALL Muslims. I'm an American and I don't hate them. In fact I don't even hate the majority of them. I do hate radicals and I don't care if they are American or muslim or whatever.

We don't hate all Muslims. We (at least the educated ones) have an understanding that the Muslim faith is one of peace and that Radical militant Muslims were the ones responsible for the attacks on 9/11. The problem is, that we don't know who of the faith is a radical militant and who isn't. So, we're leery about all of them. You can't fault us for that, can you?

No, it would be dumb to hate all Muslims. It would be stupider still to start a religious war against more than a billion Muslims.
Anyway, it was a small band of extremists who attacked the US. Weren't the rest of the conspirators arrested, tried and executed a couple of years ago?

Hate all Muslims? No. I hate their large number of RADICAL MUSLIMS, and I hate the fact that the "good" muslims have not stood up and repudiated and fought back against these radicals that use Islam as the basis for their murders (if you are to believe the good muslims that they condemn these actions).

Oh heavens no. People shouldn't hate Muslims, but until I see the Muslim Community rise up and shouting to the heavens that what the Radical Islamist are doing is wrong, I will not feel in any way that they are a religion of peace that they seem to tout.

Of course it doesn't, but if you see the hysterical reaction of the US American public you can easily see why the gouvernment there is all too pleased and will try everything in its power to stoke up the fear and hatred.
Fearful people are so much easier led and are even prepared to have their freedom taken away in order to feel secure.
