Dwayne's father is Rocky Johnson, an African-American. His mother is a full-blooded Samoan. Through his mother, Dwayne is related to almost all wrestlers of Samoan descent, from Afa and Sika to Rikishi and even "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka (though only honorarily to Snuka.).

Sorry that I can't say 100% true or not, but I saw him interviewed on TV last year or so, and I think he said African-American and Samoan ethnic heritage...U.S.A. nationality.
