I'd take anything BUT my family!
just imagine... you'll have to take care of a new population... and it would be all disabilitated because of incestive actions!
I'd take my girlfriend, and 24 other couples of all ethnicities... A few oxygen tanks, everything that lab research can contribute to the entire craft!

My family. That would my first priority. I haven't added them up, but the number would be around 25 lets say. I would take two doctors, a surgeon and a family M.D. My family is varied so I would have construction, tool/die makers, cooks, electricians, computer geeks, etc. already taken care of. I would take a few friends and their kids to round out the 50.

you would need 25 men and 25 women all of them under 25 to rebuild the human race. so i would take those still in school they would be young enough to do all the hard work smart enough to build what needed built i would only take them from the best schools around the world

I would definitely take my husband and son...
Then I would grab a navy seal or two for someone has to help me survive out there.
Then of course I would grab a few brilliant scientists.
Finally : CHOCOLATE and some women's sanitary products for that would be just plain gross with out them....*cough*hack*snort*
